Sample and How to Fill out
- How to travel further with a pass/coupon ticket:
- Pass: If you travel further
than the original route, you only pay the fare for the additional
segment of the route at your destination. For example, if you get on
a train at Takanohara with a pass for between Takanohara and Shin-hosono
and get off at Kyoto beyond Shin-hosono, you put your pass and 280 yen
into an exit fare machine at Kyoto and go through a ticket gate
inserting a ticket given by the machine, instead of a 560 yen regular
ticket.
- Coupon Tickets: If you travel
further than possible with the amount on the coupon tickets, you need to
make the fare adjustment at your destination. For example, if you
get on a train at Takanohara with a 200 yen coupon tickets and get off
at Kyoto, you put your coupon tickets and 340 yen into an exit fare
machine at Kyoto and go through a ticket gate inserting a ticket given
by the machine, instead of a 540 yen regular ticket.
