MRI movie for Japanese tongue twister ("TAKE TATE KAKE TA") recorded
at ATR Brain Activity Imaging Center in ATR-Promotions was on air in
NHK TV
program "Kai-Tai-Shin Show" on June 30th. Dynamic movements of the
tongue during producing the tongue twister was presented using the
uniquely developed MRI technique. Dr. Shinobu Masaki, Manager of the
Brain Activity Imaging Center, was interviewed as a commentator in the
program.
Rebroadcast of the program will be from 8:30 in the morning of July 5th.

way of third partie's virus-infected computers,and it spoofs the sender

of its messages so that they appear to have been sent by different
users instead
of the actual users on infected machines.
Therefore, we assume no responsibility whatsover for any contents of
those e-mails.
We have been keeping secure network environment and paying attention
not to relay
and unleash spam e-mail in our traffic.

Expo 2003 and KANSAI Patent Distribution Fair
ATR took part in Venture Expo 2003 and KANSAI Patent Distribution Fair
held at Osaka International Conference Hall (Nakanoshima, Osaka) on
25th and 26th November, 2003.
ATR showcased Robovie R and Robovie M at the Venture Expo, and ESPAR
Antenna featuring security key system, Face detection and tracking
system, and ATR CALL at the Patent Distrubuting Fair.
 Our booths were very popular,
attracting over 1000 visitors, and it is hoped this will prove positive

Network Robot Forum Takes Place

A general meeting to launch the Network Robot Forum was held at
Toranomon in Tokyo on September 30, 2003.
Creating "Network Robots" by integrating ubiquitous networking and
robotics is thought to contribute enormously towards Japan's role in
realizing a totally new IT environment for the 21st century.
The purpose of the Network Robot Forum is to promote R&D and
establish standards in network robotics. The general meeting and
accompanying exhibition of robots were attended by guests including the
Minister for Public Management, Home Affairs, Posts and
Telecommunications Mr. Taro Aso.
