to Connect into the Internet at Your Apartment
qDial-up Access provided by ATRr
Laboratories may allow some researchers to make a dial-up connection
to ATR server.
You only need to pay the phone charges between your apartment and ATR.
Please ask your lab., if you are allowed or not.
qBroadband Access by ADSLr
Note) For those who live in Amity Hikaridai cannot use ADSL.
Procedure:
1) Get permission from the Personnel Section to change the telephone
line at your apartment from analog line to ADSL, because the owner of
the line is ATR. The form to get the permission is available at SHIEN.
2) Sign up for an ADSL provider:

According to the location of your apartment, you can apply for "OCN
ADSL Access Flet's Plan (http://www.ocn.ne.jp/english/service/adsl/flets.html)"
which is provided with ADSL line by NTT West.
