Two Functions
1. Prepaid Card Function
- Deposit: 500 yen (paid back to you when you returned a card)
- It can be used not only for transportation payments, but also for payments at convenience stores and other compatible stores.

2. Commuter Pass (定期券 Teikiken) Function
Good for unlimited use for a valid period within a route on the pass.
(ICOCA cards are only available for train commuter passes, not for bus commuter passes.)
◦ Deposit: 500 yen (paid back to you when you returned a card)
◦ Charged fees are non-refundable.
◦ Cannot be used by anyone other than the person who registered the name.
◦ Web reservation is required for the first purchase. (Reservations can be made one month prior to the start of use.)
(Can be picked up from an automatic ticket vending machine 14 days prior to the start of use)
