Advanced Telecommunications Research Institute International (ATR), and Keihanna Research Complex (secretariat: Public Foundation of Kansai Research Institute) will hold an online event “KGAP+ DAY -Batch 4 DEMO DAY-” on February 19, relaying from around the world.

"KGAP+" is a startups-supporting program launched in 2019 by ATR, who boosts global collaboration, business development support, and innovation hub development under the Keihanna RC Project. Japanese and overseas startups selected by each of our global innovation partners strive for PoC or pilot testing of their products/services with Japanese major companies. During a 3-monthts-program, ATR, along with cooperating organizations and mentors, supports startups by utilizing the PoC-friendly feature of the Keihanna Science City, matching for collaboration, mentoring, and conducting seminars.

The Batch 4 program started on November 10, 2020, with 13 companies from 6 countries: Japan, Israel, India, USA, Canada, and Finland. While the entire program was conducted online, the participating startups have refined their business models for the Japanese market, actively held online meetings with potential Japanese partners, and started to work for PoCs or pilot tests. Through the program, they were able to learn and get a chance to expand their business into Japan.

At this event, in addition to startups sharing their achievements, winners of Batch 3 and Global Business Matching Award from “The 11th Business Creation Contest” by Shinagawa Business Club will also join and give their presentations to introduce innovative and advanced technologies and services.
